Call for Candidates: Board of Directors 2021-2024
The Florida College of Emergency Physicians (FCEP) is seeking nominations for its Board of Directors. There will be three (3) open spots and one (1) Board member running for re-election for the 2021-2024 term.
The Florida College of Emergency Physicians (FCEP) is seeking nominations for its Board of Directors. There will be three (3) open spots and one (1) Board member running for re-election for the 2021-2024 term.
Serving on the College’s Board of Directors is an esteemed responsibility. As a director, you will have a unique role and responsibility in shaping not only your profession, but emergency medicine in Florida. The Board sets the goals and objectives of the College, outlining a strategic vision to protect and promote Florida’s emergency medicine system. The Board also advocates on behalf of its members, the emergency physician. It seeks not only to protect its specialty, but to advance the profession of the emergency physician.
Elected Board members serve a term of three (3) years and are eligible to serve a maximum of two (2) consecutive terms (Article VI, Section 3). Newly elected directors will take office at the Annual Board Meeting immediately following the election of officers (Article VI, Section 4), and serve through August 2024.
Board of Director candidates must (Article VI, Section 4):
- Be a regular member in good standing of the Florida Chapter at the time of their nomination
- Fill out this nomination form by June 4, 2021
Nominations from the floor at the Annual Meeting and write-in votes are not allowed.
The election of Board vacancies by the members will be conducted by electronic ballot (Article X) and begin no later than July 5, 2021 (Article VI, Section 4).
