by Veronica Abello, DO, PGY-1 | Oct 5, 2023

Greetings from Miami Beach and the Mount Sinai Emergency Medicine Residency.

The academic year is well underway, and we could not be more thrilled to have the class of 2026 join the Mount Sinai family. These brand-new physicians bring a diverse set of skills to the bedside and are already making strides in the department. Our core faculty is also growing with the addition of Drs. Anthony Catapanoand Dr. Nicolas Ulloa. You can find them helping us write up unique cases and fine-tuning our intubation skills in the resus rooms.

The newest additions to our ultrasound fellowship have us beaming with pride. Welcome Dr. Daniella Lamour from Florida Atlantic University, Dr. Brian Torres-Gonzalezfrom Ohio State University, and our very own Dr. Daniel Puebla from Mount Sinai Miami. They’ll be making waves in the department with our brand-new TEE which we look forward to using in resuscitations and to optimize our POC echos.

While we can’t get enough of ultrasound, our biggest source of pride will always be our alumni. Please join us in wishing the best of luck to the graduated class of 2023 and their new endeavors:
